		Valentine Sweetheart Happenings Reprinted from March 2006 Issue -by PAT HORNE Gotta Dance inspired many students and friends throughout the month of February. It was truly “A Valentine Affair” with classes, dances, prizes and special desserts! It all began with an appreciation party on January 28th at the Pasco Red Lion. This was to be a kick off for the many events to come in the month of February. The following is to share with you some of the various events that took place and to thank everyone who attended. 1) Workshop Classes were held on Mondays and Thursdays. Little did the students know that Bob and I had some prizes for them on February 6th and 9th. The drawing winners were so very ecstatic and completely surprised! The prizes consisted of two certificates from the Outback restaurant in Kennewick, two certificates from the Bin 20 Wine Bar and Restaurant at the Pasco Red Lion and the grand finale, two certificates for the Romance Of The Storm packages from the Inn At The Spanish Head in Lincoln City, Oregon. The lucky winners of these Valentine Awards were: Mark Purvis, Shelly Grey, Karla Hullette, Byron Morgan, John Stredwick and Doris Kirbey. Like the song says, “some kind of wonderful,” for each of them—with our blessings! 2) Last but not least, was our Valentine Sweet Heart Dance Party on February 11th at the Pasco Red Lion. Bob taught a special Cha Cha Fandango routine, for our many attendees, followed by a delicious double Valentine cake for all the participants, made to order by our cake man, Jim Hamilton. 3) Coming up will be a new dance venture with our very own Cha/Tango, or as Bob calls it, Pa/Tango (short for Pat). We will let you know more about this in upcoming articles! Gotta Dance March Events A free Swing Class will be held on March 2nd at the Richland Community Center at 7:30pm, sponsored by Gotta Dance, and the City of Richland. New four week classes in Swing and Latin will begin on March 6th and March 9th—we will continue to feature these dances for the month of March. Please call 547-9647 for reservations. Classes are filling rapidly! Gotta Dance Saturday Night Fever Our Super Saturday Dance Parties are always a go at the Pasco Red Lion with a great selection of dance music by Bob Horne (couples dance music, from 6pm to 8:30pm, since 1996). These Saturday nights are our gift to you each week. Make them your date night out with your someone special. A small cover charge, $3, is charged at the door. It’s worth every penny and rest assured, you’ll be glad you came—the best couples dance event in town! Premium Gotta Dance Events We are excited to announce the 22nd annual Holiday 2 Dance Extravadance—to be held in August of 2006 at the Ameri-Suites Hotel (next to TRAC). Also coming up, Razzle Dazzle, the 26th Annual New Years Eve Celebration will once again be held at the beautiful Ameri-Suites Hotel. More details will be discussed later in The Entertainer. Make plans early as we sell out every year for both of these premium events. Again, thank you each and every one for your great support over the years—students, friends and volunteers alike.
