Rebecca Packard
Rebecca Packard, music education columnist, has a BA from Brigham Young University with majors in both English and music. She took music education classes while in college, and was a T.A. at the METTA Academy of Music, where she helped teach children K-12 about music theory, composition, sight-singing, and music history.
She also has taught private voice lessons and performed both domestically and abroad. She's been happy to apply her love for language and music to writing in various Tri-Cities publications since 2003 and was recently awarded a fellowship for music journalists sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and Columbia University.
